NATIONAL BEACH CLEANUP

We will again cleanup at the Kaneohe end of Kokololiho Beach park (CYO’s” between Hauula Park and Laie). We plan to clean the beach area and much of the park itself. Gloves and bags will be provided The setup committee will be at the site around 8 AM.. so look for the Alii Holo Kai banner and the tents, stoves,, etc. .As with lasts year, this will be a combination cleanup and picnic, with games and a fishing contest for the kekis. All those that came last year really enjoyed themselves.. The fishing contest is for the kekis and although there was no Oama last year, the kekis caught a mixed variety of other fish. If interested in this activity, bring a little bamboo pole with the small hook and line. The club will also have a few poles available. There is no spearing tournament for the adults, however as with last year and depending on ocean conditions, we will grill any available fresh fish.
Your family and other ohana—kalabash included, are welcomed to join AHK at this cleanup and picnic. The club will provide food – and some suggested items were, chicken, hot dogs, salad, watermelon, rice, etc. etc.. If you want to bring some kind of eats, that’s OK The main thing is to come and kokua to gather the opala, partake da kaukau, and relax, have fun with some of your friends. However, you can help, by calling Terrence 836-5009 or me 732-1756, or send me an E mail and let us know you’re coming - and about how many, including approximate ages and sex. Call even if you are undecided and possibly may come.. Obviously you can always change your mind. However, some general information is needed for planning purposes to estimate the amount of food, drinks, supplies, and also to plan for games and other activities. Besides the setup committee, Terry & Terrence heads the committee for the food & games, Lance prizes and we have the permit.
